As I mentioned, the Swiss Army commercial lanyards work great for a variety of apps, or any item with a bail/pull on it.

One of my SAK’s has a Ti Dangler clip , the rest just have a pinky lanyard to prevent dropping , it gets you negative points , when working at heights .

Besides the collection I install on draw queen kinves and oldies, my favorite of all is a smalk red para, loop through the keyring, overhand knot and burn the ends... from a friend no longer in this relm.....

As far as fire, I managed to put a small sliver of twine under the saw on the Huntsman to use with the dumb Firefly......

That chain is very similar to the ones on Wenger.

I know! Bought this chain at a hardware store. It's actually 1 meter long or so. Just cut it to size…
I can make a lot of chains now.

Aren't you worried about the chain damaging the scales? You can see it on the Wenger Skier, where the chain rubbed on the print.

I have it clipped to my pocket, SAK hangs down. It actually shouldn't touch the scales while in my pocket.

Wenger does have the wonderful split ring/chain which I do like.  It does scuff the scales tho I mostly dont mind.  On my Vic SAKs I use paracord or soft material so I don't unnecessarily scuff the scales.

@ Serena, look like a great set up.   :tu:

Since I discovered the pocket suspension clip I don't carry a Swiss army knife without one now. I prefer the cheap light ones because the metal is soft and is easier on your pocket. Also you can get them for dirt cheap so I went ahead and bought a bunch of them and put them on awl the SAKs in my rotation. I'm not really worried about scuffing because I don't carry the same knife enough days in a row for it to make a big difference, LOL. Also I don't mind a little bit of pocket wear from the knives that I use regularly.

Also prefer the P7. But try to buy that thing in The Netherlands…
Nearly impossible or it is ridiculously expensive.
That's why I ordered some cheap ones on Ali Express.

Speaking of the devil. They just came in the mail…

Not bad at all. Pretty tight, so it grabs good hold of my pocket. Put it on my NiteCore Tube. Like it so far…

Those look pretty cool. There's not much to it, just a bended piece of metal. I think they'll work out just fine!

testing...testing...
got some Nitecore twist thingies!
Make great pinky lanyards too.
Double over a split ring and 3" turns into 1" - so get the next size, like 6 and its a bit better,
 interesting colors available...

  • Between this & that.
I too have bought a bunch of those cheap pocket hangers. I really needed something for my SC and for a way to stop my keys from wearing holes in my pockets. I gave some away and the recipients seem to appreciate them. I've filed the sharp edges and opened the gap a little to prevent or at least slow down wear on pocket hems.

I have a large safety pin on my SC's split ring as well. Handy if you need to attach something to something, and wardrobe malfunctions like a cuff that's lost a button or a busted fly zipper.  :P

I have the same problem!

I try and then end up removing all sorts of things on my bigger SAKs.  The 2-3 layer SAKs dont get anything on them.

chain with clip tried and removed- check
S-biner tried and removed - check
paracord lanyard tried and removed - check

I currently have a paracord lanyard on one of them.  I'd thought about a ferro rod on another but haven't tried that out yet.

 :ahhh
