Welcome.  I'd suggest keeping one needle nose just in case you just might need it.  Otherwise I agree that blunt nose MTs are pretty darn nice.

I use needle nose pliers very frequently, I often need the reach and grip in narrow spaces that my fingers (large) can not fit. 

If I was to blunt a MT it would be my Gerber Diesel.

No advantage as I can foresee to mod a LM in that manner. But then there tomorrow and option may require it occur.

So far these are the only 2 I have chosen to blunt. They are the type that have the coarser teeth. I find them to not provide much grip for small tasks. They are in my case, for heavier jobs that requires "blind“ grabbing of stuffs and shorter access to the bolt gripper.  A PST sits in the same sheath that holds my wave together very nicely. Those fine gripping teeths are excellent for delicate works and weights almost nothing.. extremely easy to manoeuvre around.
