Hey folks, half an hour ago a terrorist attack with a van ran over dozens of people in the main touristic place of my city.
Two dead as of yet and two dozen wounded.  :cry:

Let's pray this ends here, as the author of the attack has fled on foot

Just red it. Religious wars in the 21st century and victims are mostly innocent peaceful people, even worse than what happened 1000 years ago.

Each day, when I get home from work, I check Google News, hoping nothing serious has happened. And I did so today. A sigh of relief! Yet another day without terrorist attacks! But apparently I got home too early... If only there was someone who could stop these horrors from happening...

I've been up and down the ramblas multiple times every time I visited Barcelona. This is truely sad. News seem unsure of the actual count but seems at least 10 dead :(

Similar things happen to Syria almost everyday, today. Anyway, I hope this will be the last one, although there's no reason to be optimistic.

they've arrested one of the terrorists, but it seems there's a hostage situation in a restaurant with a terrorist armed with a long fierarm.

Glad you and yours are all ok Peacant. My friends daughter and her boyfriend are there at the mo but thankfully had just got to their hotel. The cordoned off after the incident area starts just outside their hotel so they were instructed to stay in last night.

FInal balance is almost 100 wounded and 13 dead, and this very morning another attempt was made. At 20 km from where I live, a small city next to Barcelona (Cambrils)
Five terrorist armed with false explosive belts wounded a police officer but his mate got there quickly and shot the five attackers down.
