Sorry if posted in the wrong place. I just wanted to share an experience with folks that might be something to consider on future purchases.
I had dropped my knife in the tile floor and it basically off centered the blade to the point that it was scraping along the side of one of the handles. I tried fixing it by myself by tightening the pivot, disassemble, etc. No go. Awesome warranty service as I got a replacement and I still love and use the blade. Company said it was irreparable.
But I've dropped my CS American Lawman AUS 8 version several times on the floor and the most I had to do was very slightly tighten the pivot. To be honest it was not that critical to do so but it bugged me.
If I had to guess why the CS was sturdier the CS knife g10 handles are very forgiving on drops and the lock is internal and therefore protected.
But like I said the Drifter is still a great knife and the warranty was awesome. So really depends on your preference. But so far Cold Steel is bombproof.
