looking for grand prix
on: August 20, 2017, 06:22:01 PM
Hello everyone!
I'm new here, and I am looking for a victorinox grand prix or the junior version.
I'm not sure if this is the right place, if not please tell me. I don't know if there's anyone of you up to sell one, or would you tell me where I could find one.
Thanks a lot and I hope this is in the right place  :)

This is right place, don't worry. Did you see some listings on eBay right now? Here is interesting one from good seller :

It is 91mm version but with BBC on scale instead of Old car inlay. Junior version is more rare and not very often on sale.

thank you! I did, but I'd really like the car inlay, I'll keep looking if something else pops up. Thank you!

I have one listed with the Camelback M.U.L.E. boxlot in the miscellaneous section of the forum.  Bonus is that it comes with a giant box of other items, SAKs, and more.

I bought the one with the BBC scale, and with a bit of TLC, a good cleaning, oiling, polishing and the addition of new silvertech scales, it came out pretty nice - or at least that's what I'd like to believe. The photos don't do it justice, it's a beauty in hand.

For those interested, it's most probably a '75-76 model, as it has the modern small blade, but pre-78 aluminum head tweezers and no back stamp on the blade tang.
