Knives in movies and TV
on: August 22, 2017, 09:39:44 PM
Hi folks,
as you know I am a knife nut at heart and love catching them on films, TV shows etc.
I wonder, is there any interest here in making a thread dedicated to this exclusively?  :tu:
I have dozens of screen captures that I feel would be a shame not to share and allow to get lost in time forever, so kind of a guessing game (guess the knife and/or the movie) could be fun.
Anyone would like to join? It's a way to further expand the hobby and information on the things we like.
If there's enough participation I'd post a few pics every day or so and keep it going till I'm dry.
Thanks folks     :salute:

Cool with me.

I still want to see a shot of the SAK in the new bodyguard comedy movie.

The Iron Mistress: This knife was built for the 1952 Movie of the same title, starring Alan Ladd.   It brought forth the 1950's Bowie craze. The knife was used in The Last Command, John Wayne's Alamo, Disney's Davy Crockett series and the TV Series about the Life and Times of Jim Bowie, starring Scott Forbes.

The knife had a better career than a lot of movie actors.

Well it is always interesting to see if something is used for the screen presence or actual real world functionality that would be good to have in the presented situation

Check out Chicago P.D.. Most of them carry Spydercos. Enduras, if I'm not mistaken.

styx, you got the movies or shows right, but that's extremely easy!!  :pok:

And yes pfrsantos, there are some Spyderco Enduras on that show    :tu:

Non-descript butterfly.

No pic, but this is what one of the lead characters carry:

In the Australian series, Rescue Special Ops, one of the main characters, Dean Gallagher, uses a Spyderco Rescue 3  several times in the show.
