Just a simpler idea without destroying the original tool. Pardon the crude workmanship.. I was at work and saw the original mod here. It was put together rather hastily..
See the picture, u get the idea. Works for mp400 nicely. Simple drop in!

That is a creative use of a binder clip! I like it, I may even have to steal the idea for myslef

Lol.. Do it quick. Patent pending..
The clip doesn't open the pliers/shear fully. But good enough for me. Probably have to look for a bigger one.

my PC Multitasker might also receive some modding soon, that mechanism gets stuck very often in my tool...nice one!!

I didn't bother with a spring on my mod. The times I need to cut something so thick that those shears are needed, I'm generally only cutting short lengths.
The shears came in useful at the meet for making axe sheaths. At one point I cut through 5 layers of leather AND a brass rivet in one cut, and the shears didn't flich, stall or dent
