Belated "newbie" in New England
on: August 30, 2017, 11:39:47 PM
Y-yikes! Now that I have been posting here for lo two and a half months, I suppose I should give a proper introduction.

I'm here in New England, where the weather is always either unseasonably warm or it's harsh, and if you don't like it, just wait a minute.

Carried a Swiss Army knock-off since I was old enough, but bought a Super Tinker for myself when I went camping after high school. Great knife. Still have it.

In the 90's  a buddy of mine who was pretty handy told me about Leatherman. I eventually bought a cheapo like Grant's Avalanche one, kept it in my tackle box. Got a job in technology and ruined my Super Tinker, so some time back I went genuine Leatherman. I like the old-school stuff better, but my Surge has my attention.

Fixed my Super Tinker and now carry that and one of my Leathermans all the time. Life is work, hike, camp, kayak, bike. And my Beagle.

A handy guy should know how to change a flat tire, and carry a Leatherman.

Funny, we say the same thing about the changeable weather here in Ireland.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Didn't know Def had a line of cheapo MTs.

Well you're a part of this marry band and just 865 posts away from NLC so keep at it
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob
