58mm steel scale covers anyone?

Hey folks,
I was looking around for replacement scales for my 58mm Vic Vagabond when I saw these little thingies on the 'bay:

At first I thought they were regular scales, but after checking the pictures well, realized they are not actual replacement sclaes, but rather "scale covers" - that is, they are to be glued onto existing scales.
I don't think they are Victorinox originals, but I kind of like them.
Has anyone here tried something like this?

It looks like the seller is copying what Wenger used to use on their SS and silver scaled 65mm knives.
