The short version is that Dave Assman was denied a personalized plate with his last name on it because his name is offensive, so he had decals made to look like a plate and covered his whole tailgate with it.

Can't he sue them for calling his name offensive? I mean that sounds like discrimination to me. Then he could use the money to finance a political campaign, just to have ASSMAN posters hanging everywhere :D
