No, if you put some hay inside, he'll stay nice and warm.
Wool works well too! Protects against the cold sea.
So no wool as an outer layer this time. :D

Anyone here know Ibiza well?
I'm going there mid October.  :ahhh
And I'd like to know about things like flea markets, knife shops, walking trails, water activities, etc, the usual stuff that an MT.O member would be interested in.  :D

Sounds like your average tourist shop... Probably nothing exciting in the window, but you should definitively ask if they have some old stuff. These are the place where you can find discontinued models.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Always a good chance one of those stores has something like an unsold 2016 Damascus Pioneer X in stock for the original price, instead of the 400 euro's they are being sold for on eBay these days  :ahhh

One of those sentences, everybody should know in every language :D

- I would like to have a beer
- You have beautiful eyes
- Do you have any old stock

Since Ibiza is basically Germany, you should be fine with German:
- Ich krieg ein Bier (Germany) / Ich hätte gerne ein Bier (Switzerland)
- Fräulein haben Sie eine Waage, dann können wir was wiegen.... uhh Fräulein haben Sie eine Wiege, dann können wir was wagen
- Haben Sie eine Leiche im Keller?

Its a joke, but Ibiza is sometimes referred to as the 17th state of Germany. Although it should probably be 18th with Majorca being 17.

Last time I checked Wikipedia, Ibiza was very un-german. :D
Its a joke, but Ibiza is sometimes referred to as the 17th state of Germany. Although it should probably be 18th with Majorca being 17.
Nice, I never heard it then.
Do you know the background/context of that joke?

Just Google where most of the tourists on Ibiza come from ;)

Anyone here know Ibiza well?
I'm going there mid October.  :ahhh
And I'd like to know about things like flea markets, knife shops, walking trails, water activities, etc, the usual stuff that an MT.O member would be interested in.  :D

Sounds like your average tourist shop... Probably nothing exciting in the window, but you should definitively ask if they have some old stuff. These are the place where you can find discontinued models.

Always a good chance one of those stores has something like an unsold 2016 Damascus Pioneer X in stock for the original price, instead of the 400 euro's they are being sold for on eBay these days  :ahhh

It's how I found mine this year
Nah man, they should give a discount, because no-one wants that knife... I got 4 Spirit RT like this, about 30% off list price :D
I better learn how to say "do you have any old stock?" in the local dialect.  :D

I think it had something to do with the Eurovision song contest... with that many Germans in Majorca and Ibiza on holidays, they always get a got result from Spain.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Better try to get to bed early....

Also Pabs.....Did you book this holiday with the Captain? If you look at the U Boat rule book which you were given when we recruited you, holidays are a thing of the past. You still haven't hoisted the bilge and flushed the midden plank yet - I've checked. The nearest we have to a holiday is 3 hours alone time in torpedo tube number 2 (the one with wifi reception) once every six months. You've barely been here two days.  It's not a good start is it?

Umm... I actually haven't told the Captain anything.

Will a bottle of 100 year whiskey smooth things over?

Do you mean 100 year old whiskey? I don't know what 100 year whiskey is. I suspect it's a trap of some kind.

The Captain shouldn't go anywhere near alcohol. He is responsible for the sinking of over 100 vessels. Before you applaud his prowess let me tell you he was captain of each one.  :drink:
