Leather belt sheath.
on: September 09, 2017, 08:48:05 PM
Anyone here know of somebody making quality leather belt cases for SAK's?

In particular the Wenger SI/Victorinox pioneer knives?

I have the generic nylon, and a leather pouch, but I'm looking for something nicer that is actually wet formed to the knife and needs no flap closure.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'll recommend you make your own. You don't need many tools.

I made a wet formed sheath for a Buck 110 and it is fantastic! This sheath is light-years better than any of the factory sheaths I've had (they mostly are loose, baggy bits of crap). I bought a commercial sheath for the 110 and it was....OK. But this sheath that I made, while it doesn't look like much, is really, really good. By a long shot.

So, make your own sheath. You can do it. Really. If I can you certainly can. And it will be better than anything you can buy.  :tu:

You might try Knifecenter. They carry a wide variety of leather belt sheaths.
