White Cockatoo Pair.

I went to my friend's birthday party today. Visiting him is always fun due to a pair of White Cackatoo that he is taking care of. Both are rescue birds, but he has had them for many years now. The funny thing is that his family who came up to visit him are deathly afraid of them. I on the other hand am not. They perk up whenever they see me. They love to get scratched and rubbed, and although they don't get to see me all that often these days, they never forget it seems. Anyhow, thought I would share a few photos I took using my Pentax K-01 with a fisheye lens. In fact, the photo with the beak out of focus was because the bird touched my front element during the photo.

Animals are quite more intelligent that we are used to think, they remember their friends for a long time...
My ex and me had a bit of a on/off relationship for few years, anyways, her dog, which was a rescue, was really scared of strange people (including my mom
)
Anyways, after a couple years of separation, that dog came to lick my fingers like I never had been away, and not long after was begging for rubs
I might not miss the ex anymore, but I sure miss that dog

Cool birdies.
What are their personalities like?

The one with the bare top wing spots is a sweet bird. She talks in some middle eastern language from a previous owner. The front and center one is a bit of a hooligan. She has been known to bite a few people in the past. The only common thing I can tell is she doesn't like people who fear her that much. Both of them just love me to pieces though.

The front and centre one seems very forward, judging by the pics.

Neat looking pair and your photos do bring out the personalities you described.
Yes, I do believe they have a great memory for those they like, dislike and truly trust. This is true with many pets.
Thanks for the share.
