The PX does a nice job with this. The cap lifter works to bend out the edges of the bottle cap and crease a fold. I use a kitchen towel under the cap so there is room to flex the cap and protect the point of the awl when drilling hole for the hook and swivel.

Ok, so you're thinking these look pretty bush-league. They are, but they're deadly. The asymmetric design makes them jerk and flutter like a wounded bait fish, and I think the rough edges create some turbulence in the water. Obviously you want to choose your beer and caps with an eye toward color and flash. Plus, they're free; so I have more money to spend on SAK's. (Image removed from quote.)

This challenge was a lot of fun.

Yes there were times when I wish I could slip a Tinker small into my pocket, but over all, it was a fairly easy challenge to do. Yes there were times when I wish I could slip a Tinker small into my pocket, but over all, it was a fairly easy challenge to do. Same here. I picked up my PX after watching the start of this challenge. I loved my SI but felt like I needed a bit more. Add a nail file to the PX and I'd be in heaven!!
