I like the promotional SAK's from Law Enforcement, military and their related industries such as weapon and ammo producers, because these item are often very HARD to get. They only can be obtained by good relationships with vendors or insiders.

So the rarity of a knife makes it more special? I guess so. I suspect many companies like to offer branded or promotional SAK's in an effort to 'borrow by association' the perception of quality attributed to SAK's. In that sense, branding a SAK is an acknowledgement of the quality of all SAK's. And I think that kind of endorsement is fun.
