Heraklion, Crete - Ηράκλειο, Κρήτη
The fountain in Lions Square.

This was a display in town hall.

Bought these guys in Rethymno.
One fixed, two folders.

Olive tree wood, with an olive tree branch and the island of Crete on the handle, liner locks, with a traditional mantinada - μαντινάδα and Crete again on the blade.
These are hand-made, so fit and finish is not perfect. I had to look for ones I was satisfied with.

Portuguese barlow. Bought in Kalymnos.

Good snap, sharp, and it said Portugal on the tang.

This is the slipjoint seen in Heraklion.
The brand is Alpin, which is French from what I found.
Does it count as a toothpick? Does this design have its own name?

Kinda reminiscent of Opinels.
The large Cretan one is close to the Opinel 9.
I don't have an Opinel 9, so here is the cretan large one compared to Opinel 8 and 10.

The smaller Cretan is comparable to the Opinel 7.

Also bought in Heraklion were these two Ibiscus brand knives, a lockback hunter and a toothpick.
No idea about the brand, can't find anything.

I bought a nutmeg begleri in Rethymno. Great scent, and a very satisfying knock when played.
