I received my Climber today which I bought as ex display, unused. Probably old hat to all you diehard sakaholics   :) but it's my first one with scissors, and it's great. It's also my first with RED SCALES. We will have some good adventures together.
Gabba gabba hey!!

Climber was the second proper SAK I ever had.  Great knife and the scissors are much more handy than a saw.  :pok: ;)

I don't have a Climber, but I do have a Super Tinker, which is the same as the Climber, but replaces the corkscrew with a phillips head screwdriver, and I absolutely love it.  I never feel underknifed when I carry that bad boy.

Is it the Traveler? (split corkscrew, no keyring, and no hook?)

Congrats on the Climber.Dress it up with some Plus scales, and nest a mini-driver in the corkscrew and you'll have a near perfect urban EDC.

All SAK's are good.  However, I find the Climber lacking.

I don't have a need for a corkscrew (I do not drink) other than to hold a mini-screwdriver.

I prefer and have a Super Tinker, as you have the PHillips screwdriver in lieu of the corkscrew.

However, I also want a saw. And a nail file/metal file.

I wished they made the Ranger with a Phillips screwdriver.  That would be nearly 100% perfect.  I bought one recently for the collection, even has Camping emblem on it.  The Fieldmaster is excellent if you just want the saw.

But to each their own.  Me, I will stick with my pre-1987 Champion....has all I need.  If I need pliers, I will whip out the SOG EOD PowerPlier, or a Swiss Tool.
