Why the 100mm Gardeners are beveled on one side only
on: September 19, 2017, 09:28:05 PM
The Gardener series blades are beveled and sharpened on one side only, the other side is a full flat. The reason for this is a particular way of cutting.

In the video, the girl explains that a flower's stem should be cut at an angle in order to not crush the veins, and demonstrates how.
She shows that cutting towards yourself makes for a cleaner cut than cutting away from your body.

The cleanest cut will be made with a single bevel blade, but most people haven't got one. Please note that the Vics in the pics are intended for right hand use.

I did not understand what she said, but I like the way she said it.

They do, yes, but these blades have a double grind. They're on the alox Pruner and Harvester too.
