I used the chisel a few times on removing a small unevenness on something which I can't remember. It wasn't an important job, however, and could have also been done with the small blade.
It would be cool if Victorinox replaced the chisel with a small Phillips. I'm dreaming of the combination of CS + Phillips.

Could you have done it with the blade or bottle opener?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

I have used it to remove wood, but I have used it mostly for scraping and, if you are wanting to use it as a scraper without digging into what you are scraping, it works best if the angled side is down against what you are scraping.(that keeps it from digging in.)

I have used it for tasks where you need to tip cut or dig in at something but don't want to risk the tip of the main blade or injury by folding because of the angle.
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.

It gives you plenty of girth to grip with!

Seriously, is no-one going to touch that?

I used the chisel frequently on the SwissChamp when I carried one in the 90's, more often than the small screwdriver as it happens. I think all woodsaw equipped SAKs should have the chisel paired with it.  :salute:

The only chisel I have is on my SwissChamp. Which is a shame, becuase I think it would work much better when making a spoon or spatula on a slimmer knife, like a Huntsman.

The idea I've toyed with is making a chisel out of a combo tool, in place of a small blade. On my EDC Compact, becuase it always has a Rebar or Surge with it. Or potentially as a mod for an 84mm.

I miss having space for tools.

I'm in the minority in that I've used mine numerous times on the small canoes I whittle out.
The Indian in the cupboard thanks you.

By the way, how much wampum does a canoe cost?

A few days ago, the puppy chewed on the Benadryl cream tube and made a burr that cut my finger. So I trimmed the tube with the small blade and used the chisel to pry up some burrs on the cap so I could trim them off.

(Image removed from quote.)Probably could be done with any of the tools though
