Help needed: Identifying an old SwissChamp carton BOX

Fellow Collectors, I need your help identifying a SwissChamp carton box.
Recently I acquired a box full of empty Vic pouches, boxes, promotional stuff, user guides, brochures and a price list. The items came from a Dutch retailer who is now out-of-business.
The brochures are all dated 2003/2004.
I found this older type SwissChamp packing/box. Can somebody date this type of box?
(The knife does NOT belong to the box; it is shown only for size comparison!)

BTW: What's the purpose of the promo standards? Is it for displaying a knife, or is it just for fun?

I think the box is from the 1980's.

I had a couple like that and they had a date stamped (but with no ink) on the bottom - Check it out !!

80's - my first SC came in that type box which was incidentally purchased from Hoffritz.

The box itself looks like a mid 80s to early 90s style box. Being a SwissChamp it would be post 1986.

No date stamp at the bottom.
Were these boxes still used in the 2000's? The problem is that this box came with two different style SwissChamp Guides, one from 1993 (it is dated) and one from about 2000-2004 (not dated).
