With so much negativity towards the Surge recently, I wanted to remind y'all that the Surge IS the stadard a LOT of people gauge other brands and tools with. So, to anyone considering getting one, this is still a top-notch tool and still definitely worth having!
Purchased a new anvil today at the store. Took a picture of the Surge with it. :D

I carry Surge BO in pouch on my belt at work everyday and I hardly feel the weight.
For such a high quality tool, its weight is great

There was a time when I had more than a few Surges.  I am a huge fan of the Surge.

yes that is a MP600, Blunt Nosed. I'd rather have a non-carbide cutters one but couldn't find one in my country at a good price. Those are sturdy pliers, the Surge feels weaker to me with that fine needle tip.
But the Surge is heavier, and larger.

I find the Surge to be a more refined tool with one hand opening capability in the same size class as the ST300. I carry my ST300 everyday along with a Vic Trekker; but whether I'm bumming around the house in gym shorts or getting dressed up it's usually the Surge I grab most often when I can only carry one tool.
