Yes you are right and from my comunication with Grant I belive the preorder will be open to all. 
Just not certain how Outsiders will place the order yet. 
This is still a work in progress, so keep posting your thoughts. 
The only thing defiinate so far is the design.  That was determined by majority vote in the poll. 
Even with that there could be change as we are dealing with a manufacturer who could force a change, allthough I don't think so.

The only area of the poll that was not clear is the commitment to the project.  :poh:  Of 36 resopndents we only had 28 who made an indication as to their level of comittment to purchase at least one.

So now is the time to let Grant know if this is realy a worth while project.  :pok:

If you are 100% committed and would like to order more than 1 unit please indicate how many in a reply after voting in the poll. 
we realy need as many hard commitments as possible to keep the price in line and the project going.

I would vote for "2017", but I know the project has been tossed around since 2016.

Something like MTO 2017 on the back is cool- can we use the same font from "Multitool.org" at the top of the website??

Maybe Victorinox can make it a numbered series too on the blade or toplifter...

I looked back at the last poll and your last suggestion is actually what was voted for,  MTO 2016. All caps with a single space, so good eye.

I like your ideas and think things like them may be more doable on feature projects.
This being our first collaberation with Victorinox it will be easiest to keep things as simple as possible and still have a unique tool.
After we prove ourselves to Vic' more complex design requests will be easier and more accepted.
Hope I don't sound like a downer because I realy do like the Ideas.
I also think that Mto'ers will get more excited after they see the first compleated project and be more supportive of bigger ones in the future.
Consider this as laying the foundation for great things to come...

So, any of you brave enough to buy one and USE it?  Mine will probably become my new EDC, replacing my current silver PX.   Umm, I might buy a second for a shelf queen. Haha!!!
