Okay everyone,
I have some word from the Boss Man (Grant) and things are starting to roll.

 "....I will send a message to a contact at Victorinox in the US (who is usually very supportive and positive) to see if we can make this happen, and I will let you know what happens next.

Thanks again for everything man.  It is really great to see folks stepping up and helping out!"

Still no pricing as of yet.  I do want to thank every one who has participated in the Polls.  I also want to state from my past experiance as a Caterer for many special events ( a job I no longer do, it's more fun fixing broke stuff and a lot less stress) I have some concern about the size of the initial order.  When responding positively to invitations to such important events as weddings only about 20 to 25% of those who respond actually show up.  I know this is not a wedding, BUT Grant and MTo will be shelling out to get this for us.  Lets make sure we follow through on our commitment and keep MTGo thriving.  It's real easy to say sure but things get tougher when the money actualy has to leave our hand.  Just remember we will be getting some thing back in our hands that few others will even have a chance at.  I hope no one takes offense to this and I am not trying to be a downer, just being relistic about life and looking out for a wonderfull place full of great people.

Great news. I think we might be able to do at least 50 if the pricing is reasonable. I know about 45 votes said they're interested and numerous people said they might get 2 or 3 around $60ish... (I would.) If we're close to 50, might as well pick up the slack. They're easy to sell later if numbers help with a price break.

I know my biggest concern is that they will probably take months to arrive.  :ahhh

The only area of the poll that was not clear is the commitment to the project.  :poh:  Of 36 resopndents we only had 28 who made an indication as to their level of comittment to purchase at least one.

So now is the time to let Grant know if this is realy a worth while project.  :pok:

If you are 100% committed and would like to order more than 1 unit please indicate how many in a reply after voting in the poll. 
we realy need as many hard commitments as possible to keep the price in line and the project going.

Once we know the price - What about asking for pre-payment? - I would be happy to do so

Okay Guys,
First, thanks everyone for the show of support and offers to look out for the forum's best interest.  I have sent a message to Grant checking on any word from Vic' and will up date this as soon as I have some thing.  I love the Idea of prepayment and we may even consider a downloadable order form.  Remember you are all a part of this too and your input is valued.  That is how we came up with the design.  Now we just need to maintain the enthusium and be ready when official word is released.

If someone said that they would take 2, then I counted that as 2 committed.  If they said 1+ I counted it as 1 committed and 1 provisional.
I'm not sure what a 50%er is.

Hmmm...as one of the 19 contingent on price, I am 100% likely to pre-pay if the price is acceptable. I described my parameters in an earlier post. I suspect that the remaining 18, will not toss a coin if the price is right--they will probably jump on board.
