Thanks for bringing this thread back to life, very good information indeed!  :tu:

I don‘t have a lot of SAKs with serrations, but i am always somewhat hesitant to use the ones i own, as I have no idea how to sharpen them properly. Will try some of the techniques discussed here!

I've been hesitant to use serrations as well - but since I got a Victorinox kitchen knife with serrations last summer, I'm thinking that it might be worth it.

I have one of their small kitchen knives as well. The one that comes in a set with a Spartan. Those kitchen knives are awesome. Have it for years, never sharpened it, but still slices everything like a champ  :D

Any more bamboo chopping tests? I was clearing some bamboo in the garden and damn that stuff is hard and sharp. Particularly trying to cut off the offshoots.

When I was younger, and all I did with a knife was use it while camping, I preferred a combo edge.  I'm not sure why.   :think:
