Are the two sides of the 91mm file different grits?
on: October 08, 2017, 04:02:32 AM
I know I read somewhere that the 91mm file tool had one finer side and one coarser side. But as much as I might examine the file on my CT41, the two sides appear exactly the same. Are they the same or different? And if they are different, which side is which?

Two sides of the file are definitely different. One is fine, and other is rough. It can be seen without magnifying glass. Or you can feel with fingers.
This is the same for old and new type of the files.

So is the she with the nail nick the fine or coarse side, cause I can't tell. I have felt it with my fingers a bunch and looked at it under 60x and 120x magnification, and I still can't tell...  ???

The side with the nail nick is fine. I have only the new style file at the moment, but i think it is the same on old one.
