The Rebar is a great tool :tu: but time to time there are some with bad castings that will break :ahhh

Congrats on the win An0n :like:

Thanks, Poncho65....I guess? Now I don't know what to feel since warranty in our country is nonexistent for LMs bought abroad  :D  :-\

If you bought it to use it, then use it. Even if some calamitous failure happened, I am sure one of our members could help with getting the tool to a LM dealership somewhere that does have functional warranty support

You're right. My confidence with LM is still strong, of course  :tu:

So rebar broke a Rebar :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

 ::)

Sorry it had to be said :D

Yup, the irony is not lost on me lol.
Wait a minute.... I see what you did there!

I wonder if the OP received warranty replacement yet?

Or, did they open a new thread?

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Haven't received a replacement yet. The Canadian distributor says 21 day turnaround, so I won't have it until around mid November.

So the Candadian distributor has no inventory to advance a fatal failure.
That is a bummer.

Yeah. It is what it is though lol. Feel naked without it though. I have a pocket knife, but it's not the same.

So I had a parcel card in my post box last night, but the office was closed so I'll have to wait until Monday. I'm not expecting anything else, so it must be my Leatherman. It only took a week from when they received it. I don't know why the distributor told me 21 day turnaround.

Managed to pick it up today! Refurbished Rebar. Handles don't quite sit flush when the tool is closed though. The plain edged blade is chipped as well >:( can't get a good picture of it though.

Sorry, missed your reply till today.

Not new?   The head is complete, correct.
Does it open/close smoothly? Or, are you going exercise it to break it in?

Knick on the blade edge?  Hate to see that break on you ;) !!!

Yes the head is complete, the plier head is quite difficult to open as it is not aligned quite right. So Leatherman was kind enough to send me a prepaid shipping label and it's going to Portland this time, not the Canadian distributor.
