Saw one of these in the flesh yesterday at the Vic store in London. But couldn't bring myself to part with the sizeable price

Cool knife!

But I won't be planning on acquiring one. I don't need another shelf-queen.

These are cool. But you want to know what's funny is if you were using this guy out in the snow, the last color you'd want would be white wouldn't it?

Pretty cool tho  :tu:

The UK website has it showing at £60

If I had that cash, I'd keep it too  :D

Yeah I had a cheap woodland camo pocket knife I dropped in the leaves one while geocaching. Was a pain to fine, now if it was a SwissChamp it would'nt be an issue since scales are narrower compared to the width of all the tools so you just have to look for something shiny.

I've never quite thought the idea of came scales made sense. Either you'll lose the SAK in the undergrowth or ... shiny layers don't camouflage it very well

The explorer Benedict Allen once wrote that he preferred a white SAK as he found that red ones didn't show up well against leaf litter.  Also a PITA if you are red/green colour blind I guess.

Much as I like the Explorer and white scales I'll not be parting with a ton of money for this special edition.  It is a nice collector's piece though.

Prices have dropped to around 40€ in some shops, may be time to nab one up if someone is still interested may be the time to grab one.
