I'm on the lookout for one too as of the UK Meet.

I have asked Papa Legba and Ganesh to open the pathways and remove any obstacles to me getting a Crunch. Should I be using this power for something more important?          Nah.

Put two small holes in inside liner of the pocket of my Army surplus raincoat when a 6LN model sprung open. Plus after handling the Crunch, I was surprised at how compact it was--not much bigger than a PST.   I'm still holding out for a used one sub $50.

truth is, that as much as I love(d) my Crunch the Schrade Vise Grips and the Kershaw A100 got more day-to-day use as the already in position jaws made them faster and more convenient in almost all regards

the Crunch got the foldable and compact size factor but that didn't really matter for me as I admittedly overcarry in the tool, SAK and knife department

and the Kershaw is king to me because of one thing, that OHO blade... ::)
IIRC it was the first OHO blade in all of the multitool history

The Schrade and the Kershaw are both awesome tools and have been on my list for a long time but at a really good (read as cheap) price  :D

I would love a reimagined or a bigger Crunch :dd: Could call it the SMASH :D

Yeah, if they just scaled it up to be about the size and weight of a Surge, bigger jaws that open wider, maybe 2 outside opening tools.  :dd:

I carry a Crunch and a Wave in my dirt bike tool pack. I don't use the crunch as much as the Wave, but it's been a life saver when I have used it. It takes up less space than traditional vies grips, and has the added benefit of its other uses. Great tool for my purposes!!!

I managed to snag a couple of Crunches from eBay over the past year.  For a long time, I never regarded the Crunch as a desirable tool, but then I saw one in person and was won over by the incredible clever design.  I got one just because of that. I'll admit that I have only used it a few times, but the locking plier does work well.  Got the second one just because.

I got them on eBay for under $50 each so you can get a decent deal.  But you have to be patient; it's pretty rare to see buy-it-now offers for under $60.or auctions that stay under that price.
