Make sure you're not pretty exposed when you venture out Eamo, unless you live in a secluded area and that sort of thing is ok.

Looks like I'll be getting a slightly milder does over the next 24 hours.  Frankly it's already pretty manky, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Over here in Co.Kildare, it's a bit windy but nothing out of ordinary so far.
Except for the fact that it has been rather sunny this morning.

So no need for me spending all night preparing SAK based care packages for you and Eamo then?  I wish you had have said.

140km/h gusts forecast in the Irish Sea this afternoon. :ahhh  Weird yellow light here in Brizzle, and oddly warm with it.

Mags i'd love a SAK based care package . . . what goes into one of those ?

Make sure you're not pretty exposed when you venture out Eamo, unless you live in a secluded area and that sort of thing is ok.

i do live in a secluded area and where i went to see the winds is even more secluded so i wrapped up warm giving it's raining :)

Here too  Tried to take a pic to post but it didn't look weird enough on film so I left it.

Any explanations? Dust thrown up by the wind? Aliens?

I'm taking a WAG(wild ass guess) and thinking dust from the Sahara?

Just checked online. You guys are not the only ones to have noticed, and the met says it's the sun interacting with the clouds, and possibly some dust.
A weird smell has been reported in some areas in the UK. Who farted?

That's my vote Nate - papers say it was forest fires in Southern Europe, but the smell is definitely an 'Ariochy' bouquet. I did commune with Papa Legba and Ganesh last night to open the pathways so that may account for it. Sorry peeps.

I hope we're not overreacting here in the South West but we've just pledged fealty to an insect/humanoid hybrid with bazooka arms and steam powered hover boots. They seem to know what they're doing and have offered to usher in a new age of disease and scarcity, so it seems to be the best option. Overlord DoomCrab the pestilent will be heading your way soon  :salute:

Muhahaha...

A section of fence panel fell into the neighbors garden. It's the kind where you have those concrete pilars with grooves on the sides to slide fence panels in from the top. We'll need to see if the fallen panel can be salvaged afterwards.  ::)

Yes stay safe everyone. It's just been on the news that a woman has been killed in West Waterford in Ireland when part of a tree was blown down onto her car, and 4000 homes are without power in Wales.

I'm over home at the moment. I was due to fly back to London earlier, but all the flights out of Belfast International were cancelled(mine as I was about to go airside!)

Things are rather blowy in Bangor at the moment...
