SwissMemory or SwissFlash?
on: October 20, 2017, 11:30:02 AM
Looking for some additional information about these 58-mm models.
As far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong), the difference between them only in electronic components (generation of USB-stick).
Can anybody post here pictures of these USB-sticks? Do we have other ways to determine which model it is? (Specially if USB-stick was removed! ;)
How many variations of each model was released?

Summary: any information will be very appreciated! All results will be used for updating information on SAKWiki.

I have a 2004 Dutch catalog from an outdoor shop, which shows the then new Swiss Memory with 124 Mb USB stick.

And here two small leaflets about the Victorinox Flash and the Presentation Master Victorinox Secure (what's in a name...).
Both dated 2009.

Whoa, how many euros per gigabyte does that cost?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Found a few of those brand new for sale here in Ukraine, both have a USB 2.0 memory and available with 16 or 32 Gb of storage. They cost 60-80$, which seems a little too expensive for an old sluggish USB 2.0 in my opinion

Thanks for photos / catalogs! (I have version with 128Mb, in 2017 looks funny, isn't it?)

Looks like you're talking about Signature Slim (@Work), it's a relatively new model (but already replaced by 3 newest ones in this year)

Early 21st century swissbit with 64MB and a red LED. According to WikipediA, the first USB sticks hit the market at the end of the year 2000 and had a capacity of 8MB. I remember using IOmega ZipDisks at the time (80MB).
