Day 9

Still carrying the Buck and I may just continue to do so.  As a substitute for a folding knife it is very good.  Used it today to cut my sandwich. Anyway, I've been griping about the sheath but if I'm honest it's not that bad.  I've been carrying it just shoved in my back pocket and I have to extract the sheath from the pocket and use 2 hands to get the knife out of the sheath.  Not a quick access job at all.  Today I went ahead and put the sheath on my belt with the bottom of the sheath down in the back pocket.  There's a hot spot where the sheath is rubbing against my back because it rides pretty high, but with it attached to my belt it is now possible to draw and return the knife to the sheath with one hand. Much more convenient. I just don't usually like things on my belt because I'm a big guy and anything on my belt tends to snag on chairs and doorways and that that sort of thing.  The Buck paklite skinner is pretty thin though and so far today it hasn't been a problem.

Day 12

Hanging out with my Mechanic and my streamlight. Used it to open some packages we picked up at Wally World.
I've been fairly surprised that I haven't been missing my Benchmade.

Day 11

Today's carry, CT-41, CRKT Hunt-n-Fisch, and Spirit. Today was the longest I've continuously carried the CRKT Hunt-n-Fisch.  I got dressed about 0600 Saturday morning and it is almost 1230 AM Sunday (I just got home) so that's over 18 hours.  It is a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be, and I hardly noticed it was there the whole time. I opened some cardboard boxes, sliced my dinner, and poked the coals in a BBQ pit. What a great knife.  It's a shame, really, that the designer, Larry Fischer, didn't live to see it go into production.

Day 13

Just opening mail today. The Hunt'N Fisch is exceptionally sharp and I have already cut myself by not paying enough attention to what I was doing.

In everyday use I'm not finding the handle at all slippery as I initially thought it was.  I don't know for sure, but I would guess that it might have had a light surface coating of something to protect the finish at the factory, and that just needed to be handled and used for a bit to wear it off.  It's quite controllable now.

Day 14

Still carrying the Hunt'N Fisch on my belt, along with the Spirit in my back pocket and the Alox Classic SD that is almost always in my watch pocket.  I didn't think I was going to like the horizontal sheath, but it really works in this application.

I passed on a $10, Made in Sheffield by a government contractor, British Army Knife at a yard sale a few years ago because I wasn't interested in them back then.

Day 16

Not much to do today.  It's been raining pretty much all day. I took advantage of a break in the rain to take a picture of rain drops beading on a brush pile next to the CRKT Hunt'N Fisch.  I should have switched knives today but I don't think I will.  Really like this knife.
