Day 17

very nice looking blade
Is the overly exaggerated jimping area over the "Hunt&fish" engraving useful or just for looks?    :salute:

I'd love to be able to EDC a fixie. Would be my lovely little stag patriot.

The jimping on the top of the blade is functional but it is also for show and style points, as it goes way beyond what is needed just for a non-slip surface for your finger.  Here's a better view of the jimping and file work as I opened a fresh brick of coffee.

Nice
I asked that because IME big jimping areas get crud and dirt ion them, especially gunky stuff (food, resin, etc.) which is the kind of stuff you often cut with a knife designed for "Hunt&Fish" purpose

Top view showing file work.

Filling up with gunk has not been an issue for me. I have used the Hunt'N Fisch to cut tomatoes, avocados, sausage, and cheese, and nothing has gotten into the jimping that couldn't be cleared out with the flick of the wrist or a quick wipe down with a napkin or piece of paper towel.

Day 23

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate this day!

Having whole smoked hog and Cajun fried turkey.  No plastic, picnic-ware was going to cut through the crispy pig skin so I had to use the CRKT.  I'm so full now you can thump my belly and it sounds like a ripe melon.

Very observant of you Peacent. I am rocking the duck tape repair to my glasses with the metallic 100 mph tape, reinforced with a toothpick under the tape because I didn't just lose a screw, I broke off the connection to the hinge. It's too bad I already have the duck tape badge.  Drinking ginger ale though, not beer.

Day 24

Black Friday Sales! There might be some bargains, but I hate crowds so there's no way I'm leaving the house today.

I'm doing this just to do it but it would be nice if there was a badge for it. How about putting in for a fixed blade EDC badge? Maybe whoever makes the badges can create one. :pok:
