Best EDC sheath combo in the history of ever.
on: October 29, 2017, 11:33:43 PM
Being a dyed in the wool EDC rotation type I never thought it would come to this.

Ever since buying a Skinth and working out a combination of items that works for me it has been the same sheath with the same items in the same place on my belt since.

I still rotate my knife so there is that.

Here is a picture of my go to set up.

Anyone else have a sheath or combination of items like this?

Harley,

I was just going on about my limited EDC in a SKINTH Mondo Shield sheath in another thread:

All in one mondo shield:
Swisstool spirit X
Pocketwrench II
Chapman soft pack bit set with 3”-5/8 extension (no ratchet)
Executive SAK in black
Surefire titan
Bullet pen
Mini note book (moleskin)

All fit with room to spare for fire starter and such when needed. Light but capable.

I am running on Cell data until tomorrow (hopefully at the latest) so no pics for now...but hopefully Tuesday morning.

All that of course is based on my daily needs to tighten loose bolts, screws, cut things, sign my name, take notes etc. Your setup meets all that, plus we can do it in the dark. Haha
SKINTH is hard to beat for low key carry of all things required. Sits low, does not look like the “101 Airborne” is landing and the various models make it easy to customize.

Well said Sir.

One of the things most people who do not have a Skinth do not know is about how well it just disappears on your belt. Between haviing your whole belt to help distribute the weight and the relative narrowness.

Also with my custom V54 light there is no darkness lol.

no pics as of now, but I usually carry 3-4 things at the same time on any sheath, like
MT + light + pen + bits
MT + SAK + lighter + AAA light
etc.

it's easy, and makes the sheath system a little toolbox in and by itself    :tu:
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

Very similar combo for me. Usually it's a Skeletool, but today I grabbed the kick. Sits in the 5th pocket of my jeans.

EDIT: Meant to add, that's a Fenix LD-02 and a Fisher bullet pen, of you're wondering.

You know what - i had all three of those, but stupidly sold them all on. The only difference was that my Kick was BO one and looking back it was probably one of the best tools i've ever had - beautifully simple and understated... and the philips driver was damn good too.

How do you like the Fenix LD02? The one i had was good, but had a terrible habbit of not working when i really really needed it!!!!

I love the Fenix LD-02  You've got to be consistent about swapping the battery in it, but AAA batteries are usually easy enough to come by. I hate twist on lights, and came across this at REI on sale shortly after I lost my AA Fenix light (e-11 I think?), so I figured what the hell. It's been in my pocket for the 2+ years since.

And I've recently fallen back in love with the Kick. I filed down the ramps and lossened/oiled it so it flips open almost all the way before "locking" into place. Now I flip it like a balisong all day long.
