Occasionally, I like to look through the lots of rough condition knives on Ebay. Rarely do I find anything good. I think this time, I finally struck something good. I came across an auction ending in a couple of hours for "Lot of 9 Pocketknives", the first five really did nothing for me, at all. Just junk. Then, something in the second photo caught my eye. An older Vic, with shackle and partially round awl. The later photos revealed that it had four or five layers, making it either a Ranger or Mountaineer, likely from the early 1960s. It doesn't look to have been abused, or even used much. I put my bid in, and ended up getting the lot for $12 shipped. I'm excited, as it's my oldest 91mm SAK, and the first to have both a bail and the backside, partially round awl (my Soldier M1908 has an inline one). I'll spare the details and only show the photos that showed the SAK. LOT_1_3 by cody6268, on FlickrLOT_1_2 by cody6268, on FlickrLOT_1_1 by cody6268, on Flickr
