:nanadance: :nanadance: :nanadance: :nanadance: :nanadance:

That could be applied for, if there is enough interest, I guess. Hadn't intended to so far though.
It would be nice to keep this information
On the first page for anyone to see if they
are thinking of doing a mod
Or to ad more mods after someone has done some
It's just when I was looking for mods that I found it
A bit hard to find the mods I was looking for
It would of been a lot easier if it was all on the first page as a sticky :tu: :like:

 :imws:

 :gimme: sticky!!

Requested.
Cheers!

Hi guys, I admire your great work, and I found the courage to share with you two humble mods I did.

Tool mames: Leatherman Style PS NN, and  Leatherman Skeletool CX NN
Basis: Leatherman Style PS, and  Leatherman Skeletool CX
Aim: Needlenose Pliers
Mods: Reshaping the pliers into needlenose pliers for greater reach.

I enjoyed the Deluxe Tinker mini pliers because they can reach into tight places and help grab stuff that normal pliers can't. Being the EDC guy at work with always a solution to any problem in my pockets, you can imagine my embarrassment when my Leatherman Style PS pliers couldn't remove a broken key from a keyhole.

So enter the Style PS NN:

At the top you can see the original tool, then one part of the pliers treated with the Dremel 3000, and a comparison with the Victorinox pliers.

Tool name: Leatherman Skeletool CX NN
Basis: Leatherman Skeletool CX
Aim: Skeletool with needlenose pliers.
Mods: Needlenose pliers

I treated my new Skeletool with my Dremel 3000 to optimise the pliers for better reach.
You can see the original, one part done the complete pliers done, and the tool I used.

Just bought a lightly-used Wave today. It won’t be long before I post it on this thread. Now to track down a rebar for parts/pliers!

Leatherman chisel bit mod.
Since the second flat driver was essentially redundant, I turned it into something more useful.

Tool name: SOG Power Access Deluxe Plus
Basis: SOG Power Access Deluxe
Aim: Install a file in the PAD. What SOG call a file isn't.
Mods: Inserted a ST300 file after drilling a new pivot hole and profiling a locking surface into it

Tool Name: Matte
Basis: Gen II Leatherman Wave
Aim: Customizing to what I need. More for fun really... ;)
Mods: A few of them...
Links: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,76771.0.html

Tool frame and pliers are acid washed giving it a duller appearance. Thus, the name Matte.

Most of the OHO tools are replaced other than the file. Most recent added is the small utility cutter. May change out the keyport tool as it underutilized. Probably going to switch in a BO 154cm blade.

Some changes on the internal load out. Awl added from the rebar, eyeglass screwdriver sharpened to a needle point. Added a 3D philip and moved the bit exchanger to the outer frame. Drivers are high on my priority list so it pisses me off when I encounter regular/common screws I cannot tackle. On Matte, I have quite a number of drivers - Philips no.0, no.1, no.2( 3D), no.3 and Long shank (no.2). Flat Head- 3.5mm, 4mm and a larger long shank. Borrowed the idea of the long shank on the pocket clip from Obi.

Tool Name: Um, modded Charge? Never thought of naming it.
Basis: Leatherman Charge AL
Aim: Two bit tools always available and more readily available scissors. To create a great work/urban tool rather than the Charge/Wave which tries to be rather too many things at once.
Mods: I swapped out the scissors and eyeglass tool for a second bit holder. That was the easy part. I then switched out the serrated blade for 91mm SAK Scissors. These required the pivot hole in the scissors enlarged significantly and with the heels of both tools perfectly aligned so that the LM pivot fits and the tool clears the lock.

Mods: Scissors replaced with saw from a Coleman Pro Lock, bottle opener/flat driver replaced with a scraper blade from a Schrade Tough Tool. Lower pivot repaired with a pivot from an old Kobalt tool.

Not sure if this is the best place for a reference on tool thicknesses, but might be useful for others planning mods. It could be (much) expanded to cover other tools...

Rebar/Wave/Charge tool thicknesses
