Any other gamers out there waiting for the new game tomorrow?

I never owned a console other than a Wii, but bought an xbox elite a year ago just so I could play the first version of this game after seeing some utube videos of it.  I pre-ordered this new one months ago and also took part in the beta weekend.

I'll be setting it downloading when I get home from work along with millions of others around the world and watch the 40+gig download trickle down

I doubt it would run on my Wii. It might run on my PC however, but it's not in the budget atm. I have also been drooling over the promo videos on youtube. I heard a rumour that it might be worthwhile waiting for black friday/christmas sale prices in any case, and I'm ok with that.

Yeah I have seen that.... and something about having to pay extra to unlock Darth Vader or something...

And that's just the default game, wait until they put out expansions in a couple months... 

I have never really liked the idea of paid content, or monthly payment plans that if you stop paying you no longer can use the app/service you have paid for. It really does feel like it's gotten out of control.

That being said it looks like EA are trying really hard to implement some damage control... perhaps it was a publicity stunt.

Yeah there's been an uproar over it so they've dropped the in game credit cost by 75%.  Some people are throwing a lot of money at the game as they've maxed out hero's that should take months to do.

So what's the point? you may as well just cheat? All it shows is you have the money to buy ranking and not the ability

I do miss the good old days where skill was the only thing you needed, now no skill is required, just a fat wallet.

Before they pulled the plug of being able to buy crystals to make upgrading a lot faster there were people with things as maxed out as their level would allow.

It's a bit annoying when your a noob like me and you get blown away across a game map from a distance your weapon can't even reach and they do it in one shot. The system on the first game was much better than on this one.

I think it must have really hurt game sales as it takes ages at times to get a full game on the new one, whereas I can load up the old one and every game will be full still. It shows how many people have been put off. Though at £70 it wasn't a cheap game by any means.

I may buy a ps4 just for that game. I used to play the original battlefront games when i was a kid.
