Victorinox has updated their @work series with an USB 3 flashdrive and an USB-C connector. You can plug it in both, in your computer and in your mobile phone (provided it is quite new and not from Apple  :D)

The Q series SOG I was interested, but have had an extremely hard time getting users testimonials. I just don't think people are biting on this design. I keep bumping the SOG q baton thread here, but to no avail... multitool of the year, that'll be a stretch for sure.  There also doesn't seem to be a strong competition like last year  I think it's in part not only the pricing of these but the departure from the normal multitool design. (I still want one)

Personally, I would not put the LM Skeletool KB/KBX and Juice B2 on the list. Those are pure knives, if we have those, we can add the Fällkniven MB or the Benchmade Bugout. In fact there are probably a plethora of rescue knives that offer a variety of functions (belt cutter / glass breaker). Being made by LM should not be a qualification for that list or else, where are the Gerber/SOG/etc. knives.

In my opinion (that isn't worth anything anyways) the single bladed LM shouldn't be on the list.

Gerber, CRKT, Kershaw and other brands release every year or almost yearly a model or two consisting of blade + screwdriver, blade + bottle opener, blade + prybar or something similar so that'd make the list long and much more complex each year, this one included
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

I handled some of the Baton's and although neat, they were not mu cup of tea

The Sync and Sync 2 on the other hand were very cool and I did end up with a Sync 2 but just haven't posted any pics of it yet

I also agree that the competition this year is nowhere near as aggressive as last years :ahhh

It was larger in hand than I had expected, but I liked it. It'd be fun to throw in a backpack or whatever. Curious to hear what you didn't care for? (If it's hijacking the thread would you post in a SOG thread for feedback?)

I’m so behind the times. I still think that back lock knives and MTs like the Wave are still the best.

SOG
Baton Q1
Baton Q2
Baton Q3
Baton Q4
Sync I
Sync II
Power Access
Power Grab

Victorinox
Wine Master
Jetsetter @work
Victorinox @work
Midnite Manager @work
OH Forrester with PE
OH Locksmith with PE

I don't think there is enough NEW in those. Although 111mm PE OH is awesome.

Leatherman
Tread LT
Skeletool KB/KBX
Juice B2
Juice CS3

Pure knifes, the only reason they are here, is because they were made by LM. However, that is IMO not enough

Other
Kershaw Shuffle, DIY
Havalon Evolve (I think this one came out in January) Was on last years list

Never had a SOG plier in hand,
An MTO branded SOG power* or Gerber Center Drive would be really Nice!
Meet me also on youtube & instagram for mostly knives (and multitools) content

the PowerPlier is very nice for a first SOG, and can be bought cheap in used but great condition   :salute:

I think that is a good call with those Eth especially LM :salute: If LM had put a fold out bit driver with those knives not only would it have added a lot of utility but made the handles wider and more comfortable ( to me ;) ) and then they would have been a MT :salute:

SOG was really the stand out for sure this year :like:

Agreed with the Baton and the Sync they created something new. I'm uncertain how I will vote. For one I salute SOGs creation but for my personal carry, it has to be the Jetsetter @work. Will be a though call... especially when having to choose between the batons.

Sadly, I'm voting none of the above.

The Batons were the only real innovation this year, but between the MSRP and the toolsets, they just left me "meh".

Leatherman didn't even try. The knives look like something they panicked and threw together at the last minute becuase they needed something for SHOT. And they made a skinny Tred- not much innovation.

Vic... Nothing new, really.

(Image removed from quote.)
Its not really a design by NexTool, at best they did some minor modifications. But then the same is true for the Tread LT (in regards to being only a minor modification), so I see no problem taking it up in the list. At the price of 60+ $ in Europe, I can't see anyone voting for it (the 30$ US price seem more like it).
Do we know when it came out (its not on the nextool webpage).

I think we need a challenge for this (and its OUTU brother)

There's lots of improvements on this compared to the standard outu desing, and at $30 I'd say it is a much better deal than the $30 Schrade-branded outu and a good deal compared to the standard outu.
I assume it came out in 2017, judging from it being newly listed on all sites I've checked.
Still, I do not think there is any chance it will win.
I'll try and get one to review, and compare to my outu, though. I like the way it looks and what they did with the design.

Looking forward to that.
Yeah, 30$ is certainly not a bad price (haven't seen it below 60$ in Europe though). I've seen on several pages that it was "not in stock", so I thought its brand new, maybe only came out this January. What I find strange is that you cannot find it on http://www.nextool.cn
