First world problems?
on: November 17, 2017, 01:43:27 PM
An hour ago I wanted to go to get something to eat during lunch break. While I was slowly reversing out of the parking spot my coworker asked me what one of the symbols on the dashboard means. While I was looking at it I kept slowly creeping backward and I hit a metal post. I scratched the paint and cracked the bumper.

Now the fun part: Half an hour later I get a call from Slovenian Renault dealership and they ask me how I like my car since I bought it two years ago.  :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak:

Preferably with parking sensors, thank you very much!

Uh oh!  :ahhh

By the way, isn't the bumper supposed to be a cheap and easy-to-replace part? (at least in theory?)
I've never had to look up the price of one, thankfully.

(And what a coincidence!  )

I used to do this all the time, when people asked me if I had seen a certain movie or if I heard about the movie they were about to see. I was always "Yeah, it was allright, but he dies in the end."

 8) 8)

It drove folks mad! Specially when nobody died in the end...

When the Special Edition Star Wars movies came out I saw them all opening nights.  As I was coming out of the show and everyone was lined up for the next one I exclaimed loudly to my girlfriend at the time "oh my God, I can't believe Darth Vader is Luke's father!"

I thought it was funny....

My first world problem is that when I take the top off my Jeep the glare off my NAV screen makes it difficult to see the map.

This is probably a first world problem.

Trying to figure out how and where I'll be parking this winter due to the roads having to be clear as there is real question if my worthless smurfing car can get up my hill if the weather is bad. So add a mile or two walk, in snow, plus a lot that may or may not be cleared to my hour commute.

Every day

Twice a day.

On top of hating to drive in the dark. Or in the snow. Triple if snowing and dark. And it is impossible to for a single man to get affordable housing if he doesn't want to share with a bunch of college kids or total strangers any closer to work than I am now.

"Even if it is only the handful of people I meet on the street, or in my home, I can still protect them with this one sword" Kenshin Himura

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you're not ready, it's "a mother". If you are, it's "mom".

"I love democracy" Sheev Palpatine, upon his election to Chancellor.

Anyone seen the first episode of the Zombieland TV show from Netflix?
Not a good show, but the discussion about 1st world problems in the beginning is gold.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.
