Great examples, Captain! :like:
I've got those versions, so gotta pass. But, anyone who needs them, the Captain is great to deal with!

It’s a wonderful bluntnose and needlenose set! (゜□゜ψ)ψ
I have never seen Pinchies NICs.
It is very interesting that they printed “Pocket Survival Tool” on the package. (≧◇≦)
Thank you for the valuable photos, Captain! .+:。(´∀`)゚.+:。

Well I finally have my first experience with an MP400 living up to the name Mr. Pinchy the other day.  Thankfully not that bad, but wow did this pinch haha.  Still the MP600 and MP400 remain one of my favorite Gerber multi tools around and the MP400 especially is very helpful with EDC.

For the life of me though, I cannot understand why Gerber put the nail nick on the inside of the knife rather than the outside with the MP400 though.  Better yet would have to have the same blade design, but with a rectangular slot as the first generation MP400 did.

Glad it wasn't bad, CC!

Only thing is, the 400/600 handles are WAY further apart than the Mr. Pinchy handles. The Mr. Pinchy is the original Gerber Multi-Plier. With a little patience and skill, pinches are avoidable though. :)

Thank you, honestly I was somewhat distracted so this pinch was more user error than not.  Recently I managed to find fairly unused first production MP600, so I may very well have a true Mr. Pinchy experience yet haha.  Even came with the original Gerber Multi Plier sheath and remarkably still is in pristine condition.

With a number of MT choices, I seem to keep gravitating back to the Multi-Plier as a popular daily carry. Can’t quite put my finger on it, maybe a combination of the simple ruggedness, compact size and tactile quality all play a role.  :dunno:

BO V2 has landed! Has the patent number typo and inches on each handle.  :woohoo:

Needs a little TLC (clean and adjustment) but the tools are in good condition. Will join my SS version when I get home.  :salute:

:like:  Those Winchesters, despite only being ten dollars when new (and even then, it had a bit set), seem to be just as hard to find as the real Gerber Fisherman models. But, they cost pocket change. The Gerbers are a huge chunk o' change.

Ok just a correction. This BO model appears to be a V3 as it has the file and not the awl, and the nut/bolt construction.

Still interesting as it has the larger plier pivot compared to my other V3, and no Pat Pend stamp, but clearly a number typo that’s corrected on the later version. The slide pin is also different and inches on both handles!

Stripped and cleaned. All good and ready for lots of flicking practice.  :salute:

Pivot. Turns independently to pliers.

Thanks Steve.  :hatsoff:
I’ve since learnt that this particular plier bushing can be adjusted/removed with circlip pliers (I guess you’d need one for each side). Just helps to make this multitool the easiest to disassemble and adjust of any MT out there. No wonder these are so popular!  :salute:

Very nice photos. Mr. Pinchys look very cool. (☆3Д3))
I want to take cool pictures like you, but I have no talent.

By the way, what detergent do you use when cleaning BO tools?
Unless it is made of aluminum or plastic, I always boil tools with baking powder.

I'm surprised that it cuts cleanly. Awesome!

And thank you hiraboo for your kind words  :salute:

Photos are easy. You emoji text constructions are real talent  (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

I don't use anything special for cleaning BO. Just warm water with dish washing liquid and a toothbrush. But I've never tried boiling water  ☉_☉

Hi guys,
Just stumbled onto this page while trying to work out what model Gerber I have so I can get a leather pouch for it, I actually found it in a back country hut in New Zealand.

Looks like a “Mr pinchy” as you call it, an excellent name for it  :) Oh and no scissors on my one?!

See attached pics...

Does anyone know if these Mr Pinchies will fit into the mp600 pouch?
