As the question says, some people have less money to spend now (disposable income) and others have more.

For example, if your income has remained about the same but you save money on petrol and going out to restaurants because you work/eat at home you will have more money to spend on multitools etc.

If you have lost a lot of income or if your expenses have increased (for example having to buy a lot of PPE) then you may have less spending money.

I would say less, lost my job and is currently a stay home dad which doesn't equal to a lot of money, but I do save on gas though.

Definitely less, furloughed until August then lost my job entirely after that.

Thanks to the internet age I can scrape by turning my hobby into a job of sorts  :tu:

I have had the good fortune of working on a laptop at my kitchen table since 1993, so the pandemic did not affect my employment.  I carried on just the same.  I was working from home long before it became de rigueur.  My job and Mrs. Powernoodle's employment were largely unaffected in 2020.  She can work from home too when required.  We are muchly blessed in that regard.  One can also bless one's self, by preparing financially and in other ways for times of tribulation.  But that may not be quite so easy for a younger person to pull off.  It takes years and years to get the ducks lined up.
