Pivot pins UK

Ok so my plan is to take a combination of modern alox knives and drill them out to liberate the tool layers so that I can create a flexible tool that I can reconfigure from time to time. And eventually make into a really overszied creature like an XAVT (should the urge take me).

Step one is pivot pins in UK. Has anyone solved this yet? It seems like a real pain to get hold of them.

Apologies in advance if I missed something I have trawled the forums already.

Threaded pivots? No UK source AFAIK. Syph uses usaknifemaker.com I believe - and you'll have to pay $25 for a flat rate shipping box.

Probably have to look at buying a bunch then to mitigate the shipping cost. Wouldn't hurt for someone to have them over here.

I ordered pivots (for a Juice mod) from https://www.knifekits.com in August.

12 x 1/8" Pivot Barrels with Screws cost me: $27.60
Plus USPS postage : $23.50
Plus I got hit for customs duty of : £13.52

For an EU (i.e. no customs) supplier you could look at : http://brisa.fi

I had a look at Brisa but they only had 1/8" OD x 3/8" long, at €4.50 each. You'll need at least 6 per SAK so if you plan on making more than a couple you'd be better off ordering a load from the US.

You could also try asking on edgematters.uk to see if anyone there has a local source.
