Leatherman C33

I didn’t really need this knife but it is brand new condition, not a scratch. Scored it for $15 shipped, just couldn’t pass it up!

Haha!!!

Pairs nicely with my trust ol’ C33X!

Now....if only I could get some Laura Kampf wooden scales made for these knives...

Wow, I can’t believe you found such a good deal I wish I could find in my country that knife for less than three times you did.
Congrats.

Hi guys. I've just received my Crater C33 with a lot of excitement. The Crater C33 is a great budget edc as it always is. However I got problem with the "blade launcher" mechanism. I am not sure if that's the normal situtation or just happened to my knife, it's very hard to open the blade by using thumb stud with one hand, fast opening is impossible. May I know if there is anyone encountered this problem ? I really appreciate an advise to fix this issue. Many thanks in advance !

Welcome to :MTO: josh

I don't have one but maybe try to oil the pivot and work the knife open and closed, hopefully this will help loosen the knife up :tu:

Oh, you might need to loosen the pivot screw just a bit as well.

lovely knife,
I am carrying it today too and bought another one that is on its way  :gimme:
it was one of the Leatherman that surprised me the most.  :multi:

I would try and turn the pivot screw a bit ti ease the action, though mine has never been really fast or smooth, but I can't fault it for the price  :dunno:

thanks,  :hatsoff:

the C33 is a usual suspect on the rotation, even though most others are fancier and more expensive  :dunno:

maybe the one thing I like the least of it is the clip

Pros: functional, simple screws, big and wide (avoids ripping and tearing of pants) so lots of gripping area for the hand to draw the knife, relatively deep carry so the knife sits almost all inside the pocket, compared to most other folders today  :multi:
Cons: non reversible, or swappable, and it' so darn shiny that it is seen from a mile away clipped to your clothes  :P, which effectively annulates the fact that it's deep carry and low profile. And it's a bit flimsy (bendy, bends too easily in my opinion)
