Well, my EDC gear got called into service today thanks to the wonderful surprise of a broken pipe.... Thrunite T01 saw steady use, and the Juice B2 was the go to knife for cutting various types of tape and pipe insulation. Both performed admirably, my father was quite amused with how effective they serrated blade was on the insulation. Could have been a huuuge headache, ended up not being too brutal, we got it sorted in pretty good time.

I rarely call anyone in either :salute: About the only time I do is when I have to have something done to my HVAC system  I have no idea how to work on that and would probably make my problem worse :ahhh :D

Thanks guys, the Byrd is a Rescue so the orange may be the default for the model? But I did see it offered in black as well.

Which Charge did you get? AL or ALX?

It's an AL, purchased it second hand out of a small antiques type store at the base of the White Mountains on a small by-road. The Charge and an old SAK with a bail were sitting off in a corner so I snagged them

I really like the Charge, been pocket carrying it at work and its proven to be well worth the weight in the pocket. Good size and good tool selection. I love having a nice file with me. Left it home today to force myself to use my Wenger more, and man are the scissors getting a work out today

Got to use the awesome Wenger scissors to take care of some loose ends on a head I had to teach myself how to string. The crosslace I had to cut with them was pretty close to paracord in thickness and construction. They handled the task very well, and the '74 Zippo took care of any fraying.

Then I got to go back to breaking through boxes of product

well prepared,  :salute:
I am especially fond of your SPEW.  :like: :like:

I've also been quite fond of it, nice size, nice weight. My stupid self didn't realize it came with a bracket to use the sheath as a belt sheath, so I threaded paracord through all the holes to make it belt useable and have enjoyed it like that as it really tucks out of the way. Should be a great tool come fishing season.

Should be a great tool come fishing season.

I had the opposite experience. I acquired three Minimalists and read numerous comments and reiews mentionning a belt sheath. I for the love of me couldn't understand what the smurf was all that about, and was really puzzled.

After further researching i found that my models (older versions) only included neck chain and solid plastic sheath, whereas newer iterations came with a bel loop that you could attach to the lanyard.

No problems at all because I also paracorded the sheath to ease carrying in the belt   :tu:
It looks very useful for some fishing related activities

The price was hard to deny as well at less than 20 bucks. Love it. Do you use yours often?

I have it most times as a backup, rarely gets used,
and for that very same reason it always has a scalpel sharp, very thin edge for special uses (medical emergencies, ultra precise cutting etc.)  :tu:
Normally rides inside a jacket pocket or as a necklace in winter,

and on the belt on warmer months, where it's easier to access without that much clothing in between.
Paracord substitutes the neck chain when it goes to the belt   :salute:

Nice weekend away in the White Mountains, bit more snow up there than there was back home. Really glad I got new tires for the truck, ended up at one point barreling through about 8 inches of untouched snow save for a few foot prints for half a mile.

This was on my last shift as we were getting ready for a big sale, had to break out some old racks and made a little more room in them getting rid of dowel pegs

One of my current projects, should finish in the next few days. Sick of worn out parts just getting sent to the trash, figured it was time to stop being lazy and try to make something cool out of them.
