Replacement for EDC AAAA flashlight
on: December 12, 2017, 10:06:00 AM
My current EDC flashlight is Klarus Mix5. It is no longer in production. And mine might just be ending the end of its lifespan as I have been having problems with it lately.  :ahhh

Is anything similar out there? That is powerful single AAAA battery flashlight? I can't find any, so probably not. But I still have to ask just in case...

So I am basically correct in thinking that there are basically no 1xAAAA lights left?

I'm afraid so. I believe the reason are cheaper rechargeable flashlights and the fact that those batteries are not nearly as common as AA or AAA.

How about a JetBeam Mini?

It looks nice, but it has a rechargeable battery? I would prefer a light with a single use battery. If all else fails I might look in to something like this or AAA battery flashlight. But Klarus fits so nicely in to a pocket of my jeans. I doubt a bigger light will.  :ahhh

The 4Sevens Preon Atom A0, (also seems to be called the P0) is pretty darn tiny. My only gripe with it, aside from a magnet in the butt end, was terrible grip for a twist bezel activated light.

Also surprisingly cheap.  :like:

I payed something like 80 € for the Klarus.

Although according to numbers it is brighter than Atom A0.

It seems I might have to reevaluate my EDC some time soon. To bad coin pocket of my jeans is already full. If it wasn't I would try out olight baton s mini. That one seems like a good light. I've been running out of room in my jeans so I need something slimmer. Or I would have to make myself slimmer. But I don't like the last idea all that much. :D

Get an USB rechargeable light, those are really small and pack a good punch... or change from jeans to cargo pants :D
