What should I do?

I want to start carrying my farmer. The only problem is that i have 2 farmers: an OC and an Orange NIB. Do I buy a new silver farmer or do I carry the orange one?

I would just carry the OD one and leave the orange one in its box! If they are both NIB, then pick one and carry it!
If you can't decide, you can send me the OD one and carry the orange one!

These tools were made to be used, not spend their lives in a drawer or on a shelf. Put that OC to use and make it a happy SAK!

I have a 1993 Soldier and my great-grandfather's 1980s OC Pioneer. I usually find myself carrying the Soldier, except in business/formal attire, in which I carry the Pioneer. Oddly, I have traditional knives that are quite old I found for a good price and never use, but if I have a minty SAK I don't use, it ends up getting given away.

Not using a gem and buying something else to use often costs more than just using the gem. What's the purpose of keeping a SAK unused? If you want to keep something pristine, as a treasure in its own right, that would be fair enough but if your hesitation to use something is financial, I wouldn't worry about it - used Alox is still valuable Alox.

Yep, use them both. They're tools not ornaments.

The color holds up rather well. You can always make a slip sheath for it.

Just my onion, but SAK's are not going to be priceless collectables in your lifetime. They are made to be used, so carry and use the heck out of it. When you die, your family can look on a well used SAK and know that it has many memories built into it from all the years and places you carried it.
Some like new item stored away in a drawer is just an unused item that has little value.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

I'm the evil voice here!
SAKs make for great shelf queens!
Do whatever you like with them. They're yours. I've got a few users, but also some display pieces. Namely the ones that are discontinued + NIB.

I would like to apologise to anyone I have not offended. Please be patient, I will get to you shortly.
Just a small personal observation. ...........I would not be at all surprised that when God created the Earth & the heavens, that the SwissChamp was the tool he used. ..............
