Done! After some sore fingers and shoulders and some triceps workout...Made some change to the bottom shape, filed and sanded away half the leatherman wording. But still not too happy with the bottom yet.. ???

Overall picture, Gave the bottom " more shape "... ;) Or maybe I should further cut off the access and keep it flushed like the outer frame..

Made some changes to the tool set. I had to further shorten the saw to accommodate the new shape. Yeah, I know it looks short and useless. But then it looks absolutely too cute to abandon it. At least for now, its still a place holder. The rest of the tools are going to stay I think, other than the pliers which is quite busted at the cutters. I have filed down the flat head to fashion an awl out of it which I think should be more usefull. It still fits the bit extension so I didn't quite loose anything. Made an ad-hoc pry tool/nail puller. More details on this later. Like it quite a bit.

The pry tool/ nail puller was painfully made by sore fingers as well.. Pretty happy with the end result. The nail nick was in this manner as I wanted to keep out of sight when it's stowed.

Some more things to do, I probably need to grind down the spine of the blade. I think it looks kinda too big and weird. I seriously tried to do that with a metal file and a large diamond file.. Gave up after 2 mins as I think I am getting nowhere with it..

Going to carry this tomorrow to have a feel of it.  :D

I sort of wanted to call it "Pebble" ..  ;)

Anyway I added something in the meantime. Though I lack the tools, capabilities to drill, I can cut. So I cut. I, am a genius.  😎

Pebble, huh? Well, you made it, you can name it. It is cute. I might have gone Ripple, but I also want one bigger than a Surge and called a Tsunami!

The saw might not be as odd as we're all wondering- small can be mighty. Limited in size to what it can take on, and if there is a lot of skinny hard stuff, it will take a while, but for fine notching and the like I can see it potentially being useful. It is no less disadvantaged than small jig saw blade. And I can see it, properly used, working well outside it's weight class if used smart to cut around something, and then you wedge that something to break it.

The pry bar I have concerns about, but I do any folding pryer. The nail nick is nicely done, it looks like it shoudl make a good wire stripper.

Good urban tool if the bit extention works as hoped with the awl. Any pictures of that?

More like a Microwave. I like it.

    YES!!! Microwave!!!

I love the idea.  I know you said the tools are just place holders for now.  I would ditch the saw and go with a blade and a good file. (just like the original MINI)

Are you Planning on making the fold-out handles???   I use my mini without folding the handles from time to time but I think the tool is WAY more useful with the handles.

Highly unlikely I will be putting in the extend handle. I dun even have access to a press drill for drilling. The problem I see with the original mini is that the handles are sharp and pointed. It's really uncomfortable to use. This, with its fold over handle is really comfy. It doesn't dig into the palm.

I will be bringing the bench grinder but home from work to do some refinement to the blade and pliers. It's really difficult to work without power tools.  :(

Some reprofiling done to the knife blade. Took some material off the spine to balance out the proportion. Reshaped the plier head to a "true" needle nose. Figured a finer tip would be more ideal for a "mini" tool. A little more shaping done to the back end as well. Had this in my pocket the whole day. Only did some light cutting. Feels great when you dun feel anything? 🤔

It's held in place by magnet. It goes in quite deep as well. But the awl's tip will likely blunt out fast over prolong use. But then it's just an option. Usually I will have my trusty full size wave with me at work. 😀

I have a rather large stash of spare things lying around.. Lol..

Am actually a keen collector of MT. After amassing quite a number of models,  I figured I could go with different colours or Variant. After starting doing that, I realise that there's just so much that one can collect. Naturally modding and playing around with different configuration comes next. The only challenge I have is I do not have access to a proper workshop. Not even a shed at home that I can work in.. 😐 so alot of things have to be done by hand..

It's stubbiness makes it cute.
Perhaps the bottoms of the handles could have been rounded?

If I further round the bottom, that means all my tools have to be shortened again as they will be sticking out of the bay. Have to explore the idea a bit more. I was even thinking of doing a Freestyle kind of shape at the bottom.

Lol! I swear it didn't. More curvy perhaps. But I am still exploring ways to slim it down further.. Or at least look slimmer.

Some free time on hand. Move the tools around and added a package opener. The cute but not so useful saw was removed.  ;)

I realise the tool set from the wingman/sidekick series fits rather nicely. After some grinding and filing of course. I rather like the current tool set. Thinking whether to put in serrated blade in place of the awl.. 🤔
