Very cool collection SK. I know that's going to eventually cost me some money. :twak:

It seems so anticlimactic, now, but before I saw all that I was just going to post a new rigging knife I saw today at Wal-Mart.  I need you lot to talk me out of it!

That's actually not bad! I've owned a few "Cuda" products, mostly fillet knives and haven't had any issues.

I’ve been about to get one a couple of times. It looks good and i am sure it is a good mule too. By the way i have always wondered... what is the relationship between Cuda and Camillus brand if any?

I'm holding out to see if they drop the price.  Wal-Mart tends to do that, especially around the holidays and on new items if they don't sell well, and I'm counting on these not selling well because they are in the fishing aisle instead of with the rest of the knives.

Cuda used to be a name Camillus did with high end tactical knives. Now it seems Acme's using that brand name for fishing gear. Not too long ago, Amazon had a Camillus version of that knife with VG-10 steel for almost the same price which would probably be better. At $20, might grab one myself next time I'm there. The Matchbox car side of the hobby will warrant another trip to WM after Thanksgiving anyway.

Does it have a locking spike? Looks like it.

Nice!!
:iagree:
Here's my first gen W100P (the P designates it as partially serrated) with the original nylon sheath that I had at one time sewed a Leatherman pouch to.  The Leatherman pouch was later removed. I can't find the knife and I'm not sure if I lost it or if I sold it.
Second pic is my first gen B100 with MP-600
Third pic is my second gen B100.
I like the older model better.

I like the older ones better too, though i cannot really say why, it's metaphysics. 8)
The older ones are Japan made and do really feel like quality, but the newer ones are no bad too, they have a shackle slot cut into the blade and removable handle scales which is a plus. The blade and handle shape are different too and are slightly bigger.
I think the newer ones have a better grip and hold. The older ones may be slippery with wet hands. On the other side talking about their folders i think the grip was much better on the older ones, due to the aggressive back groves on the spine. I really like Myerchin, they really are no frills sailor's knives.

Ibberson Sheffield “All Weather”. Really sturdy and singular with the oversized thumbhole to be opened with heavy gloves. The square section marlin spike feels really like you can plow with it. Unfortunately all the Ibberson i own tend to present rust spots.

This one i got for really cheap on the bay. For what i paid it is surely well made. It came sharp and the marlin spike locks very solid. Fit and finish are really good.
