Nah,
I think to big...

I've been playing 3D tetris here in front of the TV...

So far: Zebra telescopic pen, Topeak ratchet, generic Bit holding strip for 11 bits, filled with 11 Bosch bits.

I do feel like we're going off topic again
I think that you're doing this on purpose.  :bnghd:
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

I would, but I will be out of town until the 4th, and there is no way i will take it with me out of the country and risk losing it/getting it confiscated. For that, i will take a farmer, an opinel, and a bladeless mp600. All of which are more replaceable than my spirit

That being the case if the Mods are ok with it and no one else opposes the suggestion we could start on my Birthday the 10th and you could join in.

You would be welcome and I think you would remember just because you are afraid you would forget.

I might...
Yet again, I carry a full size Swisstool X during work...
Same here, that is why it's a CHALLENGE.  As I said in the intro I too am reluctant.  The Spirit just feels so "dainty" compaired to the Swisstool and Surge.  Makes me afraid I'll break it.  But if I do Vic offers great medical facilities.

I would join you, but I already have my Spirit badge. Good luck, and I think you will be surprised, the Spirit is anything but dainty, it is just as rugged and capable as any large MT, just more streamlined. That's the beauty of it!

I did the previous Spirit challenge less than a year ago for the full 31 days, so I will sit this one out, but I'll be happy to watch everyone else participate. I will say that the Spirit is so easy to carry and so well equipped that it was one of the easiest challenges I've done, and the Spirit continues to be my most often carried MT.  Good luck to you all.

Since this will be my first challenge, one must post a pic every day while using the Spirit; in this case? Any other rules?

Try and post as many action/ use shots as possible.  If you have to use another multi because the Spirit is not up to the task tell about it and why.  Oh, don't miss a day, if you do you will be sent to the Naughty Step.   >:D

Any other restrictions? Can participants carry a secondary knife or is this a one tool only challenge? I believe the last Spirit challenge did allow dedicated knives so we didn't have to rely on the serrated butter blade for everything. I wouldn't have bothered though if I had the Spirit X with the straight edge blade.

In challenges i have done I carried another knife for emergency use (oho or fixed blade) or for woods use that a mt blade couldn’t handle.

It'll be more of a challenge if you don't carry another blade or tool and just use the Spirit on its own, but it doesn't really matter.

I prefer the one tool challenges too. That is what makes it so challenging.  Doing everything for a month with that one tool.  The minimalist SAK challenge was brutal but sure was lighter in the pockets.

Totally agree, minimalist was gnarly, always needing something besides what I had. Funny how 1 layer completely cures the problem (Climber). Spirit challenge was much easier, hard to feel challenged when you're carrying the best MT ever made. I think if I had used a Spirit X, I would have never reached for another tool, but the butter knife was adequate for most things.
