ebay hilarity: 'like brand new'

I ... I absolutely LOVE when i see stuff like this on ebay. Cracks me up. click on the photo to go to the full size view if you want high res look at what a 'like new' blade looks like on a Rescue Tool.

"Rescue Tool Swiss Army Knife in very good to like new condition but the original packaging is missing. The blades are in near new condition compapred to other knives in my collection. It would be an excellent item for the outdoorsmen who uses this type of knife or multi-tool. It would also be good for the collector of knives who is looking to have one of every type from every time period. The outside of the knife is a bright lime green-yellow color. This would likely make it more visible in the dark than darker colored knives, so an excellent knife for the camper or early morning hunter."

I'm seriously considering buying it.

That’s a fake. OHO hole is the wrong shape and 111mm awls don’t have holes in.

My favorite are the brand new Victorinox knives in nice presentation boxes... shipped direct from China.  :rofl:

EDIT: I guess there's a reason the phrase 'Caveat Emptor' (Buyer Beware) existed so long ago that it's known from a now-dead language.
