I think this lot will get me through it. Happy whatever you celebrate to you all.

I went with the Rambler to deal with the kids santa stuff first thing and then the Pioneer X for the rest of the day.

Every year I give at least one person a knife or multitool and have them open that first so they can help opening the other gifts. This year,  I gave SAK Ramblers to my brothers-in-law and they did all of the gift opening. That was on Christmas Eve. Now it is Christmas morning (in California) and I will be going to my parent's house. My sister is getting a Kershaw Dividend so she will be opening the gifts with her new knife. It brings me joy to see others using the gifts I give them.
The right tool is the one you have on you

SAK Mountaineer and Leatherman Sidekick today.  A lot of utility and not too much overlap.

Right on SwissGuy. I gave all Swiss Army Knives and Leathermans this year, except to my girlfriend - she gets the Frye boots and hand bag treatment. Her daughters boyfriend probably used the PS4 I gave him to help open about 8 other gifts.

I gave out a Climber, a Hiker, a couple Super Tinkers, a couple SpartanII, a couple PS4, a Wingman, a Rebar, and a Signal. All but one was a hit. And even they may see the light someday. Util then, they're better prepared for whatever.

I managed with just a spyderco slip joint  and a Leatherman Style CS yesterday. Nothing needed screwing or fixing, just the occasional snip or cut.
